Once the software is installed, you can see at a glance, how the appliance is performing. You can monitor the Spam Queues, release any quarantined email to either the original recipient, or to a designated email address of your choosing.
The Spam score levels and the Spam Detection rules are completely customisable therefore ensuring that if emails are mis-quarantined, then you can simply lower the scores for the spam rules that were applied to the email, thus ensuring that if regularly sent emails i.e. job adverts, newsletters etc, then the rules only need to be modified once and the email does not need to be released from the quarantine each time it is sent.....
We prefer this approach over adding an email address to a whitelist in case the sender is infected with a mass mailing worm. With our approach, the sender can only send non-spam emails. All emails generated by a mass-mailing worm would be classed as spam and quarantined whereas with a whitelist, they would be let through, exposing your network to the threat.
High Score Spam is dropped while medium score spam is quarantined.......you get the emails you need, without the junk.
With Streaming Spam Update Rules, you can rest assured that your appliance is continuously updated, automatically, with no need for human interaction, allowing your IT Department to concentrate on more important things that stopping Spam.
